ORLANDO, Florida, September 10, 2021 / PRNewswire / – With the increase in COVID-19 cases statewide and a particularly vulnerable student population, the UCP of Central florida introduces a vaccine incentive of up to 1000 $ for each team member. The first result since the incentive began in August is an impressive increase in vaccination rates at the eight UCP charter school campuses, from less than 50% to 74% of fully vaccinated team members. . This exceeds both state (56.4%) and national (60.8%) vaccination rates, as reported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The goal is for each campus to achieve a 100% vaccination rate for eligible team members. Dr. Ilene Wilkins, CEO of the UCP of Central florida said: “We need to be especially careful because many of our children suffer from various disabilities and health problems and cannot be vaccinated. Our strategy of launching an aggressive incentive program was a way to motivate more members to take all available precautions to help protect our children and our team members. ”
The program provided a $ 1,000 incentive for each fully vaccinated team member on a campus who has collectively achieved a 75% vaccination rate. So far, five of the campuses / administrative offices have reached the goal of 75% fully immunized and the rest are not far behind. “We are very proud of the commitment of our team members to ensure they work together to mobilize quickly and get vaccinated,” said Melissa killian, Senior Director of Human Resources.
